Our family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers in the past week. As things settle down, we are working with M. D. Anderson to make arrangements for Memorial service.
Our father’s wishes were for cremation, thus why there was not a funeral service.
It was also his wishes to stay under the direct care of M. D. Anderson, which all of the amazing faculty and support staff helped to accomplish. He believed that M. D. Anderson offered the best care possible and that is why he was not only a doctor there, but also a patient.
Over that past year, Dad was writing a book that was his story through the cancer journey and also as a means to help future patients. I am working with my mother to complete this story and create the ending. I will keep everyone posted as to the progress, but I hope to have it printed before the end of the year.
